The book is not only intellectually stimulating but also a sensory delight due to the rich background that enriches the storyline. It wonderfully describes the harsh realities of our day. The protagonist, Meena is an epitome of bravery. She is the hope to her community in the moments of crisis. Her resilience and will power make her an idol to readers. Sean's writing style, in-depth research, craftful characterisation, makes December Rising a compelling read for all who enjoys purposeful literature.
